"Haute" Hardware

Sold
I love vintage hardware! Old intricate metal pieces from doors, cabinets and windows. Their worn surfaces tell their history - patina from the weather, scratched from repeated use, even layers and layers of paint give you a glimpse of the evolution of color trends.

I enjoy taking an old escutcheon (key hole cover) a demur piece of hardware that probably didn't get noticed much while it was in service...I like to take these little sculptural pieces and feature them in my jewelry. And I like to call these pieces "Haute Hardware".

These are really nice! Love the squiggly wires. Can't wait to see what Benicia inspires you to do!
